The Logistics Department Of The United States Marine Corps

The Logistics department in the United States Marine Corps is comprised of essential components that contribute to the success of the entire organization. The success of the department is dependent upon the productivity of each employee. Performance evaluation, workplace rewards, and goal-setting play an important role in the employee’s level of productivity and overall job satisfaction. Logistics Department Major Components In the United States Marine Corps, the Logistics department is an essential component of the organization. The logistics department handles embarkation, supply and weapons management, maintenance of equipment, health services support, transportation, and ammunition (S-4, n.d.). Within the Logistics department, every employee has a unique title and job description. The junior employees may have one or two other coworkers with their same title and set of responsibilities. Self-Management The unique responsibilities that every employee has require a great deal of competence and autonomy in the field.
